Metamorphisis Poem by Megan Vue

Metamorphisis

I'm hanging from a tree and
It's so hard for me to breathe.
I'm clenching my teeth
Trying to feel my feet.

I know from the way I am
I'm gonna stand tall
And I know I'm gonna fall
But I always pick myself up.

I cherish life
and all my strife's
But even though
I can't stay strong on my own.

My hard egg shell breaks
When I try to take that step.
And I try to let go of my tensions
But i fall apart.

I lay down on the ground
Looking at the heavens above.
I remember all the times I had with you
And what I knew was true.

In my heart I know that I love you
But I have to move on
No matter how strong we were.
You'll always have a place in my heart.

To tell you the truth,
Everyday is a battle without you.
I fight and I fight
But I'm tired of fighting.

You cracked my shell
And I'm dying inside
But this time I'm gonna save myself
From all the heartaches and pains.

My skin has turned into stone
And I feel like I'm impenetrable.
My heart has turned into ice
So i don't have to feel all those vice.

Don't worry about me
Because I'm okay.
So just stay away
And I'm gonna pray.

I know I'm gonna go far
Cus I'm gonna catch that star
And I'm gonna fly
So high that I touch the sky.

Watch me,
I'm gonna make a difference.
No matter how many times I fall
I'll always rise up.
