Michelle Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Michelle

Michelle, My belle, these are words...
Hey, did you ever wonder about
What exactly makes a bell ring?
Today I'm wondering!

A bell has a head and shoulder,
And it even has a waist.
I guess this isn't about Michelle,
I titled it all in haste.

A bell owns a mouth and lip you know,
Also a crown and even a yoke.
It has a bead line and a clapper
With a sound ring that gets poked.

A hollow acoustic resonator,
For it's a percussion instrument.
You can use it to call your butler,
Making for money that was well spent.

Campanology is the study of bells.
Who knew that it had a name?
I guess a campanologist would,
And can ring their world insane.

These are words that
go together well,
My Michelle!
I just had to do that!
