Miles A Thought Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Miles A Thought

The room is coated with the smell of blood,
it's almost sufficating.
In here,
my thoughts turn to reality.
Every lie turns into something,
that inflicts on my body.
I couldn't forget if I wanted to,
not with all these reminders.
If only I was wearing a visible name tag.
'Hello my name is ... Dying'.
From the moment you'd met me,
you've known.
I've lost most of the sensation in my left arm now,
my hands are still shaking.
I lean myself against the wall,
and try to catch my breath.
Miles away,
and I can still feel you.
I feel that you're scared,
you're worried.
'Why isn't she answering? ',
is that what you're thinking now?
I can feel every thought,
all of you.
So why not listen to my thoughts quickly?
'It's almost done ... almost over ... I miss you'.
