Military Retreat Poem by habib akewusola

Military Retreat

MILITARY RETREAT.
As we assemble this
Evening,
In spirit of wisdom
Mixed with discipline,
All we see, is
How to greet victory,
Pamper my territory,
Never build tents close
To enemies.
Today I understood,
The filling inside the boots,
He's a mobile tomb, permanently
Covered in dark roof,
He produces sounds too,
As you move on either foot.
The voice of command
Is in response to my nerves,
She's the supreme commitment
In various manner to commend,
No alternative objection nor
Concepts,
Transplanting, presently is a
Failed project,
During the introduction
Of the young cadets,
Thoughts are lost in the mud,
For reasons of wearing this
Vest.
Time will tell, as you serve
In diligence, be the strength
Of every incumbent government,
You become a symbol
Difficult to ignore,
Platinum begins to replace
The paint on your
Wall,
I pray never to fall.
As we defend, from improper
Visitors.
AKEWUSOLA HABIB.
