Milking Cows Poem by Marilyn Lott

Milking Cows

Rating: 5.0

What fun it was when I was a kid
Climbing up in the hay loft
Looking down from up above
Atop the hay so warm and soft

Dad milking the cows I saw
Mom standing by his side
Ah yes, those farming chores
Farmers always take in stride

No matter what the weather
The chores simply have to be done
I enjoy looking back now
I remember every single one

I never milked a cow myself
Don’t think I wanted to
But loved to watch others' milk
Has this ever happened to you?

There’s nothing like milk from a cow
It’s warm and fresh and sweet
If you ever get a chance to try it
It’s such a delightful treat!
