Mind Poem by Sara Jo Andrews

Mind

Energy running low, but the mind is buzzing.
Body is tired, but it is tense and restless.
Why is this?
Thoughts flying by haphazardly.
Attention is drawn inward.
You will never 'have it all together' richocetes through
my listless mind.
The only rhythmn to my self is the pulsating beat of a heart half healed.
Does this life even make sense?
Its already been established, its not easy nor fair.
Rhyme nor reason of ones being has to make sense.
ONly just believe in it,
Once again this Foreign beat
begins its self with in me.
The ever elusive name that which this feeling
is called, escapes me time, time again.
My mind seems to flee as the beat continues,
like this intoxicating beat chases my mind, my sanity away.
