Mind Poem by Jorge Luis Hernandez

Mind

Rating: 5.0

For some silence is the topic
But that should never be the case
The movement is arbitrary, thoughts aren't always sane
Neurons are driven to overdrive
Ideas, experiences and memories are constantly leaping
From one synapse to the next
Always altering reality
Always distorting the truth
Always carrying a montage of the youth
The mind is a maze even Daedalus couldn't create
Nor he or his son could escape.
The mind is the epitome of perfection
In each exploration your destine to revelations
The depths of the unconscious resembles the sea
Darkness engulfs thoughts yet to come
Light only pierces the most transparent side of us
Some minds are hardly utilized, never seeking answers, never question the "truth"
That train of thought is predictable
The depths measureable
Let's not send pestilence on our minds
That seems to be the epidemic of our time
We have the cure, we can stop it
Let's not have silence be the topic
