Mind And Heart And Soul Poem by Lisa Carter

Mind And Heart And Soul

Rating: 4.5

A stranger asked me
For my mind
Which I willingly
Gave
Without another thought.

A stranger asked me
For my heart
Which I willingly
Gave
Without another beat.

A stranger asked me
For my soul
But that I could
Not give,
My mind, my heart I might not must,
But soul I need to live.

I really liked the way you incorperated the functions of each form. The mind=thought, the heart=beat.....really nice way to set a poem in motion......Steve
