Mind-Fix-Placebo Poem by Erika Conti

Mind-Fix-Placebo

So when the most of those big tears
have dried the heart
to almost-desert substance

And the worst of those thoughts
have destroyed any good memory
real-unreal-surreal-superreal

What is left is this core
the very - broken - essence of me
and a question 'how will i cope now? '

to realize that you can't always get
what you want - nor what you need
sometimes
but you can always
find your mind-fix-placebo
to kill the time
to kill the memories
to kill the core
.
