Mind Games Poem by Melissa Koeman

Mind Games

There was a time that I trusted you
You were my star in heaven
I always treated you right
I was honest
You just laughed
With that sick grin on your face
I should have hated you
but instead you made me feel blue
I was your clown again
You can be oh so nice to me
The next day you ignore me again
And you threat me like dirt
That makes me feel like I mean nothing to you
And that I was wrong about you from the beginning
I am just looking for another you
Now my heart is bitter
I’ve got to be strong
And just try to get you out of my system
And stop the mind games that you always seem to play with me
