Mind Over Matter Poem by Farina Afrin Malik

Mind Over Matter

I'm not a stranger;
I'm a lonely mystery
waiting to be found.
You see that reflection,
the one in the mirror?
Yes, that one, that's me.
Sometimes, when you listen
really, really hard
you can hear me.
I'm always trying to guide you,
as best as I can.
You never take my advice though.
When you're alone, I hear you. I hear all the things even you don't. I try to show it to you, when you don't get it in your dreams, and your nightmares. I care for your personalities the many that there are.
I'm always here for you whether you like it or not.
Who am I?
I'm sure you already know by now. Seeing as, I am in your head.
