Mind's Eye Poem by GRANT FRASER

Mind's Eye

Population explosion!
is proof enough,

Only some God
of the Bacteria,
takes one...
giant foothold,

While the social media
and internet plants
even more fear around it,

A Societal Diarrhoea,

'Who controls
the universe -
'The Money God''

Fear tapping inside
the cupboard of your head,
stuff your larder to the hilt,
don the masks,
that wear you, anyway..

For the almighty 'Death Star'
is already here...
planted in our blighted psyche,

what light at the end
of the tunnel?
a cell phone contaminent,

Even though recovery
is likely,
at least for the relatively strong,

Switch off now!
the North and South,
the East and West,

Consign each button,
wrench this dark socket
from your mind's eye.
