Minister In Situ Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Minister In Situ

To be Minister in situ can't be easy
for whilst remaining at the top
he could see his ratings drop
and then become a 'meanie'.
But lo ~ he must journey onward
always working for the people
those who had forsaken him...
He must climb the highest steeple.

Crumble not oh head of dynasty
and follow on in majesty...
to woo the hearts and minds
as they were in earlier times.
Confidence partners optimism
and nought must break the spirit!
So to be a great top Minister
give it all a heart can give it.
