Mirage - Poem by Kiranjit Singh Bajaj
Darknes envelops the sky,
Forming an endless screen,
The mind projects reflections of the day,
We labor in vain to sleep,
Faulting over matters undone.
Promises to keep,
Usher a brand new day,
Resolves lost in the break of dawn,
The canvas worked to dusk,
Ringing in gloom again.
The show will never end,
Though the journey will,
And somewhere enroute shall we succumb,
To the designs we dwell in,
Leaving behind our very purpose.
