Mirror-Room Poem by Naveed Akram

Mirror-Room

Enter the zone so bright,
It matches me, and my heart.
Inside we felt dim and bland,
Like a dumbness came apart and stuck.
The light arose with glory,
The sight redeemed, our future complained.
We are the future, the children of the past,
Looking in every direction,
Much like a mirror, the opposite picture of you.
