Mirrored Reflection Poem by Ronald James de Langen

Mirrored Reflection

The mirrored reflection of what I am not.
In our dreams our battles are fought.
Heavenly feelings humanly sought.
The mirrored reflection of which I have wrought.

Wishes to be had that our fantasy make,
Tendrils of thoughts my musings do rake.
The mirrored reflection of my silver lake.

A figure, an outline shadowed by sun,
with presence of substance coutenance is shun.
My mirrored reflection of which there is none.

A wisp returned in the cool echoed air.
The image appearing and at me did stare.
The mirrored reflection of which I don’t care.

A wraith from dead not to explain.
Blackened soul, white to attain.
The mirrored reflection which comes yet again.

A shivering, glistening shadow I relate,
The suns golden rays it does await.
My mirrored reflection of which I do hate.

A likeness of unknown specter does hide,
In the recess and darkness of a divide.
A mirrored reflection which to me lied.

A portrait drafted in a dark sea,
Shining and dusky, a figure of me?
My mirrored reflection of which I do plea.
