Misery Poem by deadly sinner

Misery

Rating: 3.8

I feel like I’m dying,
I am tired of all this lying
They cause me pain
They cause me strain
But why
Do they like it when I cry?
Do they like it when I shed endless tears?
Because it causes them cheers
They call me names
And they say it’s a part of their games
It’s a part of their games to make me cry
It’s almost like they want me to die
They say they wish I wasn’t here
And here I go shedding another tear
Save me please
Put me at ease
Get me away
So maybe then I’ll see another day
They continue to call me names
And continue to play their games
Their words cut me deep
And I wish I was asleep
Never to open my eyes
Nothing but my endless sighs
The tears I shed
As I lay here in my bed
Sometime I think their right
Maybe I should just end this fight
I’ll never be what they want me to be
So please just end me

It really baffles me when some people are touched so deeply by the wrong perception of others about them. I guess it takes a lot of courage to be ME. A lovely piece of poetry bristling with insight. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
