Misguide. Poem by tiffany white

Misguide.

Rating: 4.5

the misguidness is what killed her mom heart,
she couldn't figure why her child would wanna go down the path that she's going.
If only she knew, i-......
i didn't wanna go down the path, the path chose me.
the hardship and lessons being learned was more than just learning the meaning of life.
It was the hardship and baring pains that she been facing... just in a new aspect in her life.
the drugs, they got her higher.
When before the pencil would get her so high in her feelings, she could write for days.
now light it up, this smoke is in the air.
Her problems were always there,
she couldn't escape them....they've become a fear.
& that was something not any drug could possibly get rid of.
life became more complex, as the pain was becoming to much to bare.
bare...ly holding on, she try everyday to make today better than the last but it always seems like just when the pain is actually bare able, here comes the worst... and if the worst keeps coming...
she knew she would never make it to the best.
so whats the point...

A lovely narrative poem nicely penned. Drug addiction causes social decay, some female addicts have been known to resort to prostitution to get their fix, whereas some men addicts engage in shoddy deals to maintain their addition. I like the articulation of the poem and the insight. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
