Miss Impignorate.... Poem by RIC BASTASA

Miss Impignorate....

life oh life, why make indeed
something so simple so complicated.
why cry when there is nothing to really
cry about, or worry about spilled milk?
why make life so difficult when it could
simply be lives so easily as easy as
sitting on a chair and sipping coffee?
hypothecate matters of the heart
mortgage what is seemingly of value
but which had never been used as it is
simply kept in that antiquated cabinet of
history, ahh, charm the cobra, give enthusiasm
to a disenchanted era,
make it a wish to be as always ready
to pawn something useless for something
useless in return....
oh yes, one last point, why buy the whole cow
when you can just buy a plate of steak which
is ready to eat with your charming friend in town.
