Miss Tiffany's New Neighbor Poem by Donal Mahoney

Miss Tiffany's New Neighbor

You don't know me but
maybe we should meet.
I'm your neighbor now,
just moved in
down the street.

Yesterday I waved twice
but I guess you didn't notice.
I wouldn't hurt a soul,
but if I get upset,
ah, then, who knows?

The problem is,
my girlfriend Clare
married my best friend.
I've dated other girls
since then but now

they're seeing other men.
I'm not certain what to do
but otherwise I'm fine.
(You're really very pretty.)
And as I said before

you don't know me but
maybe we should meet.
I'm your neighbor now,
just moved in
down the street.

Yesterday I waved twice
but I guess you didn't notice.
I wouldn't hurt a soul,
but if I get upset,
ah, then, who knows?
