Missing You Poem by Margaret Young

Missing You

Alone I was waiting,
Waiting for your return
Empty as ever
My heart began to burn
Not with anger,
Not with rage
Not with envy
But the thought of you
Without me

Something felt different
Apart of me was gone,
I didn't see your smile
Forever did I long.
The day passing slowly,
Feeling never ending.
My spirits dropped lowly,
My heart needed mending.

But nothing could make it better
Except when we're together.
I was missing you
The crack in my heart.
You pieced me back,
Your love like glue.
Back in your care,
Your love becoming my air.
