Mistake (Gutter Child) Poem by Jeffrey Omarino

Mistake (Gutter Child)

A mistaken child I was no planning for my coming, I asked nether of them to bring me here May 1986 that was my birth year this period of my time I wish god had spared cause the face of this world I could not stare and the smell of her perfume the air I also could not bare. I know am a mistake I don’t need it from your mouth to hear.
A mistaken child I was and still in this world as a mistake am here do I pity my self and dropp some tears or do I stand strong and have no fear.
A mistaken child I was born in the Gutter, it’s a horrible thing to say but for both of their consequences this is the price I pay, it was said that am bout to be lost cause either of my parents knew their way then came my sister another gutter child born like me but not like me who found it hard to smile a gutter mistake child all the thoughts almost drove me wild
