Now Apart Poem by Jeffrey Omarino

I had two jobs no time for my love and now she’s gone
I tried to keep her close and make her mind strong,
my dear loneliness I felt when you departed we had so much plans getting married, having children and buying our own apartment,
it’s crazy cause it seems like yesterday.
Thinking of it back then always brought back pains,
how much you hurt me is only for god to say because of you I changed some of my ways hoping you’ll come back and say that you would stay.
remember you always said that I was like father so I tried my best to lead you straight when you seems like you’re going astray,
lady now I look back I think my love, loyalty and trust all you betrayed.
Never the less we’ve moved our separate ways.
I have a woman now who I know my love and hard work she appreciate we
don’t argue archly like the way you and I did we have a light debate she is so beautiful I know wonderful babies she and I would create
am not saying all this so for me you would hate am saying all this so you know what you had on your plate
oh wait just before I go I thought to tell you everything with me is going great and I hope the same for you no hard feelings we can still be mates.
