Mistaken Love Poem by Jill Burns

Mistaken Love

I have feelings, you know?
And with you they always grow
But I have to go, I'm sorry
With you I tend to change myself,
and while I'm here life will get more blurry
Without you I'll be fine,
so please don't worry

I don't know what to say to you
But I wish you knew that I don't love you
So don't say what I want to hear
I can't take it anymore
Because while you're still near,
I won't be able to walk out the door

You don't know me,
please stop pretending you do
We're only fooling ourselves,
thinking we're loveing when we're living a dream
