Misunderstood! Poem by Jaycee Wilkerson

You see me smiling
So does that mean Im happy
You see people around me
But does that mean im not alone
I live somewhere nice
but does that mean I have a home
My views are different
So that leaves my personality isolated
Hope keeps my mind medicated
Which is the only thing that makes sense
Im in a whirl wind infested with sin
How do I stop when i don't know where to begin
How do I start when I feel like Im at my end
How do I know whats real
When life feels like pretend
Im living a dream, better yet a nightmare
Every day reality sets in reminding me
That this is no dream!
I get soo frustrated, I could scream
What would that accomplish
Questions run through my mind
And the answer quickly behind
Not solving a single problem
I stare in the mirror thinking to my self
why even bother? ?
Why not just let my mind wonder
Somewhere no one can bother
a place where happyness is higher than problems
A place where I will never be misunderstood!
