I took my why violence poems and put them into one poem (farwell, a simple wave and why?)
A simple wave
A gesture of hello
Could have helped
But who were you to know?
That violent act
Can ruin light and day
Dark and night
And its here today
Every night she was hurt
By one you would think would love
But instead he brought her down
To the violence of this
The last breath she takes
As the sorrow seeps in the form of tears
And she falls to the ground
As that fatal shot dies off into the distance
Cause that one night
Where he brought her down
And she just could no longer be around
Then the note tucked beneath her explains
Explains the torture
The violence
His hurtful actions
And explains her sorrow
Why this hurt
Why the pain
Why the loss
Why, why, why?
Why would she do this?
She said she had no where to run
But I am here
To stay
And knowing I could have helped
Makes me cry
Why, why did she take her life away
Why
Why
Why
Every night she would cry
And cry
And ask god
Why why why?
I did not do anything
To help her
to ask how
how
how
how
how could you do this to her?
why
why
why would he hurt her?
We sit around wondering why
Why is there this madness,
On the soil we live
But why
Why violence
Now we know
A smiple wave
A gesture of hello
Could have helped
But who were we to know?
