Mixed Ancestors Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Mixed Ancestors

New flowers,
Purple flowers,
Boom!
Loom,
Broom,
Room,
Bloom;
With the flow of the river.

Link, ink!
Red fish,
Symbolic,
Curves,
To settle in;
University, diversity!
Efforts,
Between the ropes,
To view it all.

Pal, lap!
Nautical,
With the confession of the faith.
Ale, tale, sale!
If you really search deep,
Time after time.

Think, wink!
Between the walls,
Customary,
Broadway! !
Tender love,
True love,
To see it all.

Sort, resort!
Always around;
Sprints, prints!
Depiction! !
Notion,
Envisioned;
With a cup of tea on the table.

Symbols,
Classic line,
Mixed ancestors,
Clans and rivals;
Word, work, wore, worn!
She dived into the water and, he followed after.

Strum, rum!
Visual imagery,
Joyful vacation,
Safe and a sound trip;
With precious luminance at the bottom.
