Mixed Emotions Poem by Connie Leigh Lindsay

She sits alone with her mixed emotions,
How is it possible that she loves two men?
She doesn't want to lose either but is afraid that
she will lose them both.

A tear starts to fall and she brushes it away.
Tears are not going to help her through this.
She has no idea what to do or what to say to either of them.
But she knows that she has to decide soon.

With one man she has a past.Not perfect but not bad.
With the other man she has the hope of a new life in a new place.
Another tear starts to fall and she lets this one go.
She is tired of her heart being torn into.

She gets up and goes back inside.To a life with the
first but with a hope of some day, some lifetime of
having one with the other.
She is alone with her mixed emotions and her hope.
