Moksha - The Salvation! - Poem by Sharbaniranjan Kundu
The world view was clean
like the September sky
and satisfaction was brimming
like the full Bengal lakes and rivers
when Goddess Durga arrives
in her sojourn to this earth.
Relationships were just perfect
like Shiva and Parbati's family -
picture perfect in contentment.
Disturbing drums started beating
as the boy grew.
It picked up tempo
and reached crescendo
as more and more number of people's aspirations
leaned on him.
He tried to satisfy all
and all said satisfy just 'me'
because 'I am responsible for this this this
and do not put your two feet
in two boats'.
Life is like that!
So the boy turned man is drowning
in the deep lake of the abyss
though the hill top is glistening gold -
the journey he started for.
