Mom Poem by Pragathi Pamarthi

Mom

I'd walk on the sun
If you want me to,
And if your skies are grey,
I'll paint them blue.

I'd fill every inch with your name
If you want me to,
And I'd do anything
Just to talk to you.

I'm drowning in tears,
So come and get me through
Tell me where you are,
I can't see or find you.

Your love is like candy,
It's sweet but now I know it's hard too,
I'm sorry for all the times I hurt you,
But you never gave up or gave into.

I miss the days
That we spent having fun.
But now I'm totally
into something new.

So show yourself please,
Only one last view.
I'll rest in your arms,
Maybe for the last time I guess, but I know.

I'm even ready to fade like you do,
This time, I just wanted to.

And the untold truth
That I never noticed or knew,
Became too late to say,
and its, 'Mom, I love you.'
