Mom Poem by Lauren B Called

Mom

Rating: 4.0

I remember seeing her stare for hours on end
She drifted away often back then
So many years before me, she perused
Watching her expressions
When she didn't think I would

Here now I fly the same highways
Guess when I was young
There wasn't enough behind me
Unlike her, who never quite came back
Moving forward and leaving it all in the past
