Moment Poem by Autumn Winds

Moment

We were the moment
Falling so fast
Eternal and finite
A paradox in every sense
Gone with a blink
Reappearing just as fast

We were the raindrops
That fell frozen
The shots that the deaf man heard
The brilliant light the blind girl saw

We were the moment
The hands of time
The sand the falls
All the minuets that pass you by

We were the stolen laughter
The hugs and kisses
And silent words
The stars that shot across the sky
And in the winter night we watched

We were a moment
That faded with the sun
A moment where time stood by
And watched
And then the world caught up
