Moments Poem by Linda Engwall

Moments

Rating: 5.0

Thoughts are unfolding now of
Spring flowers,
Birds chirping

People are walking outside my window
As I peer out to look
They take no notice of me watching them
Laughing and talking
Enjoying it only with each other

Feeling that gentle breeze
Blowing through my window
How I long for my mind to stay there
Absorbing the beauty of it all

There are some people who can
Live there lives that way most days

Try as I do
For me there are only these
Moments
When I can not help find
Myself appreciating it all

So today I find myself
Wishing this feeling would
Linger a bit longer

Keeping these beautiful moments
When I am at peace with all that is around me
Understanding that is really how I would like to be always

This is a beautiful, pensive piece.... I picture you so clearly, you set the scene very well.... truly well written. Yuri
