Moments Poem by Twisted Moon

Moments

Rating: 5.0

I look at you, laying in my bed,
Your eyes on him, your feet by my head,
And at this moment, I am confused,
All the morals in me that I've abused.

I don't know how to feel any longer,
I thought my feelings would be stronger,
But instead I'm numb to the entire process,
And alone and silently I watch dual regress.

A moment later you reach out your hand,
And it's as if you had it all planned,
The warm feeling comes rushing back,
And I realize it's your love I lack.

But for this instant I am complete,
You lie there elegantly by my feet,
With you, I don't need my eyes to see,
At your touch, true beauty speaks to me.

But as sudden as ever, you stand up to leave,
And the cold empty feeling is once again received,
I say my farewell with no emotion,
For I am scared to show my true devotion.
