Moments Before Forever Poem by Marcus McKinley

Moments Before Forever

I cannot deny the fact, that I
think about you
In a constant milieu of memories
created by you

Times disregard for circumstance
Has left me wanting, one more chance
For one more moment, in your arms
One more whisper, soft and dear
One more memory, eternally clear
In your gentle and warm embrace

Anticipation….. my heart beats race…

In your eyes, our souls entwine
We’ll ignite the universe
When your lips press sweet to mine
Anticipation will disperse

I will feel the cosmic rush course my veins
In my lungs, your essence indiscernibly deep
Enmeshed, with you on all spiritual plains
The moment we take this lovers leap

My love for you never undone
Endless, like a band of gold
Time cannot dismiss this circumstance
For these memorable moments, I’ll forever hold

Nice love poem Marcus. I think you want 'times have' instead or 'time has' however. I really love this: For one more moment, in your arms One more whisper, soft and dear One more memory, eternally clear In your gentle and warm embrace I almost think you could have ended the poem right here. It says it all for me. a poet friend// RH Peat
