Moments Of Forever. Poem by Adrian Wait

Moments Of Forever.

Loves sorrow is a profound yoke to bear
Its purest sting intrudes in the silent hours
Unguarded moments of memories musing
A word, music, illuminates a memory shared
Once again normal will never again be normal
Life changed, I have changed, …time has changed
Always aware yet never prepared, times ticks on…
Memories do indeed last longer than dreams, yet,
Yesterdays, seem so absolute, so finally taken
When a moment of forever dies… it feels lost
The Sting of death is in the parting, the loss
Promises of tomorrow, seem as good as none
Trapped in this day, this ‘today' adrift in time
Yesterday as gone, tomorrow too far away
Hollow, adrift, the tide of grief returns, then ebbs
And returns again, time is not the healer in itself
Memories from through and of time, Moments…
Moments of Forever where love and laughter
Live again, no not again, but rather live abounding
Outside of time, beyond the sting of parting
A Moment of Forever, a glimpse of the Eternal
Now, Yet the truth remains, and always will
Loves sorrow is a profound yoke to bear
