Mommy Poem by Desiree Whitamore

Mommy

stop talking now.
stop loving me.
i don't want your heart.
you won't ever know me.

shut the door behind you.
i can't stand your voice.
i didn't get to pick you,
but you always had this choice.

stop accusing me.
i will never be you.
i don't want to be you.
i don't even like you.
