Money It Is Poem by Francis Duggan

Money It Is

Money it is the word of the day
In towns, cities and villages people need it to pay
For everyday living expenses and the food they do eat
The necessities of life for most such as fruit, bread, vegetables, milk and meat
Even clean drinking water a necessity for survival not free
Lack of money the main cause of human poverty
Not much cause for joy among the poor of the town
Life is never easy on the financially down
Life is so tough on the working poor and those on welfare
And these sort of people nowadays are not rare
So many of the financially wealthy are unwilling to share
In a World where many grow poorer for every new millionaire
So Many are struggling for to make ends meet
In a World where billions of people for success do compete.
