Monkey Unchained Poem by Somendra Gaur

Monkey Unchained

Rating: 5.0

I woke up in the morning,
Nobody to wish a 'good mornin' to
Unlike yesterday,
The sunrays that pierced the curtains,
Whispered in my year,
"Wake up my boy the dooms day passed''
Feeling free like a monkey that can jump from one branch to another.

Nice poem with a string of fascinating images of the day as well as the emotions emanating from cordial relationships or the lack of it. Thanks a lot.
