Monotony. Poem by RAVIKIRAN ARAKKAL

Monotony.

Monotony surrounds,
Like a stone wall,
Unsurmountable,
Nothing happening unsusual,
Days, months, years on end,
Like going in circles,
Getting up, eating,
Doing regular things,
Like reading newspaer,
Doing the same paerwork,
Doing routine tours,
Travels, usual holidays,
Excitement a far off
Dream yet to happen,
With occasinal deaths
Of old fellas, even love
Seems not to excite,
Monotony stands
Like a monument
Of nothing in particular.

I liked the feel of dull monotonous day to day life that you portrayed in your poem. Thanks for sharing.
