Monsoon Twilight - Poem by Dilantha Gunawardana

The memory that was forgotten
Relapsed from its coma
To inhale a scent of nostalgia
Where you and I crashed in to each other
One monsoon twilight
Where under paltry candle light
We read to each other
Lines of Neruda
And made poetic love
Where we wrote our own lyrical script
On a lonely white bed cloth
Until there were no verses left
To transcribe love
