Moodswings Poem by Cati Walthall

Moodswings

I'm crying
One minute its sadness
Then the next it's joy
And again in anger
And once more for pain
I'm confused
I'm lost
I'm not sure where we even are
One minute I'm okay
And the next I'm totally not
I have a right to smile
But I just want to be down
After all
My downs are my high
And my highs make me feel less numb
Feeling less numb means I might be alive
But I really can't tell any more
I walk this earth
and I breathe another breath
On the inside this heart beats
But Internally I'm dead
