Moon Poem by vivek pratap

Moon

Soft in the darkening

Swaying in the gentle breeze

Heads hanging listlessly

In the fading light

In the expectant gloom

Long white stalks quivering

As the daylight runs away

Like an ebbing tide

An ethereal flirtation

Shuffling in the twilight

Whispering along the paths

Breathing the promises of starlight

The scents of seduction

Warm in the air

A few lean strangely

Others sit quietly

As day passes on through

The curtains of night

Dewy tracks of crystal tears

On gentle, beatific faces

Hearts glowing

In the velvet evening

In the forest of silver dreams

Forever

In the moonlight
