Moon Child Poem by Aminath Neena

Moon Child

Jack-knifed roads

Entwined in dreams

Take me To the Summer blues

Over the dusky mountains

I have wings

I soar

Across the ionic belt

Higher and higher

Into the Milky Way

I travel along with musky sensations

Starlight whispers

Touch And Tease On robed skin

Their adoring Dewy gaze

fastened

on

trembling

lips

glistening

in the

flimsy haze

of cosmic debris

where

Ribbon-ed silver dwarfs

shower,

Scented

Wisteria blooms

Of purple Over Flamboyant curls

Petite Petals quiver

In recollection

of passionate encounters

of

once upon a waning moon

As

The night lingers

Licking Its shadowy lips

Placing kisses

On tipsy Tardy curves

Bathed in drops of moonlight

Across

the cosmic river bank

Silky limbs Unfold

In Glimmering starlight

As the climb ascended

Up above the silver ladder

One, two, three.....

"Who are you? " Asked the star maidens

"I am the moon child" says, I
