Moonbeams Poem by Aminath Neena

Moonbeams

Rating: 5.0

As the gentle moon beams
shimmer
on the flimsy ocean
while oscillating waves
kiss their silver tendrils
and tiny crabs waltz with pebbles
on the milky white shore,
enjoying the warm silky breeze
spraying the fragrance of night jasmine,
from the foliage nearby,
my heart longs for the hiraeth
that I have been seeking all my life.
Yet, patient, I must be
For the word "patience" whispered
a promise in my heart
