Moon Hands Poem by JJ Evendon

Moon Hands

The moon shines above me
to ask, "Hi, are you OK"?
I am.
I have met the woman of my dreams
and feel I'm being whisked somewhere wonderful.
Could it be towards the stars?
Maybe.
The night is beautiful.

I return my gaze to the moon,
and watch as it slowly slips behind a tree.
I wait a while
knowing it will soon reappear.

I am happy.
The moon smiles
surrounded by a glitter of stars.
Majestical.
Though I stand alone
I can feel the warmth of her hand in mine.
