Moon In The Day Poem by Aria Quimby

Moon In The Day

Rating: 5.0

The time: 5: 56 and 42 seconds
The clouds cover the blue sky
The trees blowing in the wind as if being controlled
So much to say
Yet so little time
What if we could just freeze the moment?
What would happen?
The birds fly by my window
So free and naïve
I am trapped in this world
A prison, a death trap
Humans make mistakes
But what would it be like
If no one cared
All the lies and rumors and assumptions
People make them up
They build a wall around me
I want to break free out of this world
I look up again
Out of the corner of my eye
I see the moon breaking through the clouds
I rethink this
I am that moon
I need to be that moon
I need the courage to peak through the clouds in the daytime
The time: 5: 56 and 42 seconds
