Moon Shadows Poem by Monica M Engeler

Moon Shadows

I am sitting here in my living room.
My front door staired half open at me,
It faded shadows into the window,
But my music player kept me in a gloom.

Some folk jingels were keeping me set,
Then a rash change surfaced me to the door,
A bright evening sun lit the sky,
The evening lights quivered ahead.

The colors invited me outside,
I ran down the steps and spun around.
It's six PM and the day is rushing to an end.
There is a rare burst of colors on the right side.

Everything came alive for a single moment,
I Spun around releasing my joy,
I saw the moon high above,
The sun and moon were both present.

Time is babbling on, but not here.
There was no real story to say,
Sometimes it´s good to feel free,
Maybe it´s time for a beer.

Well maybe its time for a happy hour,
Maybe it´s time for a cheer,
Maybe it´s time for a glass of wine,
Maybe it´s time not to feel sour.

The sun and moon shined together,
The skies share mysterious stories,
The stars lit the sky in wonder,
I promise to wait forever and ever.

I will admire the skies in wonder,
I will wonder for answers tomorrow,
I will spin around for dreams to answer,
Tomorrow is now forever.

The sun is down now.
The moon is shining bright,
The stars are in the light show,
I say good night with a bow.
