O Lovely Moonbeams! Be kind to hug me a deep
Kiss me immortal in my heart
Float me in your milky placid waves
Do not give me a good bye
Inside these seven Oceans


Descend in your honeyed wings
A Rainbow lurks outside
Inside, a Moon's heart;
Every moment a love languishes
Why such a Love! What makes you cry?
Relentless shower of tears in Nigh

Who makes you moan
Who cheats you a home at the edge of the sky;
So you descend in a shower of tears
Gentleness embodied

O Lovely Moonbeams! Be kind to hug me a deep.

Ei sopto sindhu pore

Namiya asio tumi oi modhu pakhati kore
Akasher rong lege ache aaj tomar bahire
Chandro hridoy antore;
Jeno sob somoy ha ha kore
Keno ei prem! Kiser prolape tumi sudhu kado?
Sara rat ek obisram premer krondone

Ke diyeche ei bilap tomay
Ke badheni ghor ei akasher prantore;
Tai neme aso tumi asrur plabone
Snigdha sarire
