Moonlight Poem by jesikalee gregory

Moonlight

Moonlight shining down tonight;
I hope to keep you in my sight.
The stars and moonlight shine above;
While crickets sing melodies of love.
Love is abundant on a night like this;
I believe this has to be the last kiss.
I bid thee farewell on this soft summer night;
to be forbidden gives me great fright.
Can you not see the moonlight pure;
Our love cannot be and of that I am sure
